Introduction to Fortune Pai Gow

Welcome to the exciting world of Fortune Pai Gow at Friars Club of Calif! If you're a fan of Arts & Entertainment - Performing Arts and enjoy thrilling games, then you're in for a treat. Fortune Pai Gow is a unique variation of the traditional Chinese game Pai Gow. It combines elements of poker and dominos, offering players an engaging and strategic gameplay experience.

The Objective

The objective of Fortune Pai Gow is to create two poker hands – one 5-card hand and one 2-card hand – that rank higher than the dealer's corresponding hands. The 5-card hand must be higher in rank than the 2-card hand. To succeed in this game, you'll need both luck and skill to make the best decisions and beat the dealer.

How to Play Fortune Pai Gow

Step 1: Placing Your Bets

Before the game begins, you'll need to place your bets. At Friars Club of Calif, we offer various betting options to accommodate different playing styles and preferences. Once you've placed your bets, the dealer will start the game by distributing seven cards to each player and themselves.

Step 2: Arranging Your Hands

Your goal now is to arrange your seven cards into a 5-card hand and a 2-card hand. The 5-card hand should be the stronger hand, and the 2-card hand should be less valuable. Remember that the 5-card hand must always outrank the 2-card hand.

When arranging your hands, follow the standard poker hand rankings. The highest-ranking hand is the Royal Flush, followed by a Straight Flush, Four of a Kind, Full House, Flush, Straight, Three of a Kind, Two Pair, One Pair, and finally, the High Card.

Step 3: Comparing Hands

Once all players have arranged their hands, it's time to compare them with the dealer's hands. First, the dealer will reveal their own cards, and then the comparison begins.

To win, both your 5-card hand and your 2-card hand must outrank the dealer's corresponding hands. If only one of your hands is higher, it results in a push, and your bet is returned. However, if both your hands are lower in rank, you lose the bet.

Step 4: Winning and Payouts

Congratulations, your strategy paid off! If your hands beat the dealer's, you win based on the payout table. Payouts can vary depending on the casino or venue, so make sure to check the specific payout table before playing.

Fortune Bonus

In addition to the regular bets, Fortune Pai Gow offers an exciting side bet called the "Fortune Bonus." This optional bet allows players to win additional payouts based on the strength of their hand. The stronger your hand, the higher the payout!
